Pre-Installation Checklist
Here is a list of information we will need in order to prepare and configure your new phone system
List of Phone Numbers
Along with an updated list of current phone numbers, we also require a copy of your current phone bill in order to facilitate the telephone number porting process. A copy of your internet bill is helpful as well.
List of Extensions, Usernames, and Email Addresses
Please include the staff member names and/or locations associated with each extension number. Two or three phones can be configured to share the same extension number and voicemail, if desired. For staff members who are participating in voicemail-to-email, please provide their email addresses.
Inbound Call Routing
Will your inbound calls initially ring a number of phones or go to auto attendant? Please specify the initial destination for each phone number.
Auto Attendant Script
What would you like the auto attendant to say when customers call your phone number? Will your auto attendant be different for business hours vs. out-of-business hours?
General Voicemail Box
Which extensions should be involved when a call is unanswered? We can route voicemail to a specific extension (for example, receptionist) or we can create a general voicemail box which is shared by multiple extensions.
E911 Locations
For larger facilities, please provide us with the unique locations of each phone for E911 purposes.
System Administrator
Who will be responsible for overseeing the phone system on your end? Please let us know who you’ve designated as your primary technical point of contact.
Post-Installation Checklist
Here is a list of tasks to complete after your phone system is installed
Download and Login to the Linkus UCaaS App
You will receive a link from us once your system goes live. Open that link and log in to the Linkus app online. Once you are successfully logged in, you will find a QR code for downloading the app onto mobile devices.
Change Voicemail Greetings and PINs
Record your voicemail message(s); you can record one for different phone presence states (away from your desk, on vacation, etc). Also, be sure to change your voicemail PIN. It is extremely important to create a secure PIN to avoid telephone hackers guessing the number. A good PIN should be a minimum of 6 digits and involve a variety of numbers in different orders (not "123456" or "000000").
Test Inbound and Outbound Calling
Make sure to try each auto attendant option to make sure it's working the way you wish.
